Stephanie and James Gamble, paid a visit to the weekend crew at NewsChannel 9.
Carson got the opportunity to meet and talk weather with Meteorologist Jim Teske.

Carson Takes First Place at FBLA State Competition
Thursday,
April 23, 2009
Carson Metcalf of The Central New York Weather Center, accompanied by his fellow
students at G. Ray Bodley High School in Fulton, won big at the state
competition of FBLA in Rochester. Carson took top honors in the web design
competition for having built the best web site in New York.

Carson Talks Weather with Mrs. Bennett's Lanigan Second Grade

Carson recently took a trip back to his local elementary school to talk weather
with another class learning about weather and our atmosphere. This time is
was Mrs. Bennett's second grade. Carson took lots of questions, showed the
class how weather is predicted, and read a book on climate.

Carson Switches Stations to WSYR-TV

stations and taken up shadowing periodically with the NewsChannel 9 Storm Team.
Bloggers James and Stephanie Gamble joined Carson in meeting Dave Longley,
Carrie Lazarus, and Rod Wood.

Carson Helps Fulton Win Big at District FBLA Competition

Carson Metcalf of The Central New York Weather Center, accompanied by his fellow
students at G. Ray Bodley High School in Fulton, won big at the District 9 FBLA
competition at Bryant and Stratton College. Carson took top honors at First
Place in the Introduction to Technology Concepts contest.

Metcalf Parts from WTVH-TV

Due to some errors in judgment,
disagreements on both sides, and other undisclosed reasons, The Central New York
Weather Center's Carson Metcalf has ended his nearly 5-year run as a Meteorology
shadow at WTVH-TV in Syracuse. All support from The Central New York Weather Center is
currently being diverted to WSYR-TV.

the Fairgrounds in Syracuse for the Great New York State fair Friday, and
stopped by to see their friends Donna Adamo and Chief Meteorologist Tom Hauf of
WTVH, and Carson talked weather with Tom on the 5:30 show.

Metcalf Named New York State Volunteer of the Year 2006-2007

The Central New York Weather Center crew went down to Binghamton to
receive a prestigious award. The New York State-wide Volunteer of
the Year Award for 2007 was presented to Carson Metcalf, owner and
operator of The Central New York Weather Center. We were presented
with a plaque and a check for $250.00.

The Central New York Weather Center 's
Chief Operations Director Carson Metcalf recently took a trip over
to Lanigan Elementary School in Fulton to talk about weather and
earth sciences with a third grade class. The students were very
excited to get to see Carson again after his departure from
forecasting duties at Lanigan.
